Turning Point Calendar

Calendar of Recovery and Wellness Groups

You don’t have to go it alone. Connecting with peers in recovery is one of the most important steps in recovery. Turning Point hosts daily recovery support groups.

And because alcohol and substance use disorder impacts your physical and emotional wellbeing, we offer wellness programs that help you stay strong and centered. All recovery and wellness groups are absolutely free of charge.

  • Art Therapy, where attendees use art to guide their path to sustained recovery from alcohol and substance use disorder.

  • Recovery Community Dinner, a monthly dinner, expertly prepared, and open to all in the community.

  • Zen Family Wellness, for quality family time with mindfulness games, crafts, and fun activities for all ages.

  • Breathwork and Focus for Anxiety Control, to let your body slow down and find the balance between what your feeling, thinking, and experiencing.

  • Exploring Yoga Styles, to learn how regular practice can help improve your strength, flexibility, balance and overall well-being.

  • Healthy Eating on a Budget -   A nutritional breakdown will be provided for each meal we make, followed by a discussion on understanding nutrition. Comparison pricing online and at local markets for the ingredients will be provided, as well as a breakdown of cost per person. We will make the meal together, try it, and send copies home with everyone.

  • Mindful Friday - Each group will start with a circle meditation, followed by quiet mindfulness, time to share and create. All are welcome.

  • Open NA Meeting: Recovering Out Loud - Instead of focusing on one particular substance, NA’s approach makes no distinction between alcohol or substances.

  • Open Al-Anon: Live & Let Live Family Meeting - Al-Anon is a mutual support group for those affected by a loved one’s addiction to alcohol. Members meet to share their experiences and apply the Al‑Anon program to their lives. Spouses, partners, adult children of alcoholics, parents, and coworkers can all find help in Al‑Anon.

  • Sober Sisterhood - Join our Women's Group for an 8-week series exploring different subjects. As a group we will read materials, examine statistics, share personal experiences, learn and grow together while supporting one another.

  • SMART Recovery - SMART Recovery is an evidenced-informed recovery method grounded in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), that supports people with substance dependencies or problem behaviors to:

    • Build and maintain motivation

    • Cope with urges and cravings

    • Manage thoughts, feelings and behaviors

    • Live a balanced life
